for ELN / LIMS

Instrument Integration

Integrating instruments with leading laboratory software systems like laboratory information management systems (LIMS), electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (SAP) used to be a major challenge: you’d have to set up an interface for each specific instrument type. There was no way around this, because instruments provide data in different formats.

Data standards like AnIML simplify this process. Instead of implementing a separate instrument interface for every instrument used, research labs can establish a single AnIML interface.

After an instrument run is complete, a data converter puts the instrument data into AnIML format, either manually or via full automation. We then extract the appropriate information from the AnIML document and send it to the target lab data system, such as LIMS or ELN.

Workbench software can be linked with many leading brands of ELN and LIMS software, letting you bring both results and raw data into your existing systems with full data integrity.
